At Elite Visagiste, we strive to provide exceptional makeup artistry services that meet our clients' expectations. We understand that sometimes plans change, and this Refund Policy outlines our procedures regarding deposits, payments, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds.
By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
Deposits
Deposit Requirements
To secure your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit. The deposit amount varies depending on the service:
- Bridal Makeup: 50% of the total service fee
- Special Event Makeup: 30% of the total service fee
- Editorial Makeup: 40% of the total service fee
- Personal Makeup Lessons: 30% of the total service fee
- Male Grooming: 30% of the total service fee
- Group Bookings (3+ people): 40% of the total service fee
The deposit is applied towards the total cost of your service. The remaining balance is due according to the schedule outlined in the 'Final Payment' section below.
Deposit Non-Refundability
All deposits are non-refundable except in specific circumstances outlined in the 'Exceptions' section of this policy. This non-refundable deposit policy is in place because we reserve time and resources specifically for your appointment, potentially declining other bookings for that time slot.
Final Payment
The remaining balance after the deposit is due as follows:
- Bridal Makeup: Final payment is due 14 days prior to the wedding date
- Special Event Makeup: Final payment is due on the day of service
- Editorial Makeup: Final payment is due 7 days prior to the shoot date
- Personal Makeup Lessons: Final payment is due on the day of service
- Male Grooming: Final payment is due on the day of service
- Group Bookings (3+ people): Final payment is due 7 days prior to the appointment date
For on-location services, any applicable travel fees will be included in the final payment.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Appointments
For standard appointments (non-bridal, individual bookings):
- More than 48 hours' notice: No charge beyond the non-refundable deposit
- 24-48 hours' notice: 50% of the service fee is due (minus the deposit already paid)
- Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: 100% of the service fee is due (minus the deposit already paid)
Bridal Bookings
For bridal bookings:
- More than 30 days' notice: No charge beyond the non-refundable deposit
- 14-30 days' notice: 50% of the total service fee is due (minus the deposit already paid)
- Less than 14 days' notice: 100% of the total service fee is due (minus the deposit already paid)
Group Bookings
For group bookings (3+ people):
- More than 7 days' notice: No charge beyond the non-refundable deposit
- 3-7 days' notice: 50% of the total service fee is due (minus the deposit already paid)
- Less than 3 days' notice: 100% of the total service fee is due (minus the deposit already paid)
Trial Appointments
For bridal trial appointments:
- More than 48 hours' notice: Full refund of the trial fee (if paid in advance) or rescheduling without penalty
- 24-48 hours' notice: 50% of the trial fee is due
- Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: 100% of the trial fee is due
Rescheduling Policy
We understand that circumstances may require you to reschedule your appointment. Our rescheduling policy is as follows:
- Standard Appointments: Rescheduling with more than 48 hours' notice incurs no fee. Rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a £25 rescheduling fee.
- Bridal Bookings: Rescheduling with more than 30 days' notice incurs no fee. Rescheduling with less than 30 days' notice may incur a fee of 10% of the total service cost.
- Group Bookings: Rescheduling with more than 7 days' notice incurs no fee. Rescheduling with less than 7 days' notice may incur a fee of 10% of the total service cost.
All rescheduled appointments are subject to availability. We cannot guarantee availability for rescheduled appointments, especially during peak seasons.
If you need to reschedule, we recommend doing so as early as possible to increase the likelihood of securing your preferred new date and time.
Refund Process
When a refund is approved according to this policy, the following process applies:
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
- Credit/debit card refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your card issuer's policies.
- Bank transfer refunds typically take 3-5 business days to process.
Exceptions
Illness or Emergency
In case of serious illness or emergency that prevents you from attending your appointment, we may, at our discretion, offer one of the following options:
- Rescheduling without penalty (subject to availability)
- Credit toward future services
- Partial refund of the deposit
Documentation may be required to verify the illness or emergency (e.g., doctor's note, hospital admission).
Cancellation by Elite Visagiste
If Elite Visagiste needs to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (such as artist illness, emergency, or adverse weather conditions), we will offer you the following options:
- Rescheduling to another available date and time
- Service with an alternative makeup artist (subject to availability and your approval)
- Full refund of all payments made, including the deposit
Dissatisfaction with Services
If you are dissatisfied with our services, please inform the makeup artist during or immediately after the service so that adjustments can be made.
In the rare event that we cannot address your concerns during the appointment, please contact us within 24 hours of the service with details of the issues experienced and, if possible, photographs showing the results.
Refunds or partial refunds for dissatisfaction will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of Elite Visagiste management.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Appointment cancellation and rescheduling policies apply to services booked using gift certificates.
Special Circumstances
Weather Conditions
In case of severe weather conditions that make travel unsafe:
- We reserve the right to cancel on-location appointments and will offer rescheduling or a full refund.
- If you need to cancel due to severe weather, please contact us as soon as possible. Such cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may qualify for rescheduling without penalty or refund of the deposit.
Pandemic or Public Health Emergency
In the event of a pandemic or public health emergency that affects your booking:
- If government restrictions prevent us from providing services or you from receiving them, you will have the option to reschedule without penalty or receive a full refund, including the deposit.
- If services can legally proceed but you choose to cancel due to health concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies, but we will work with you to find a satisfactory solution.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our Website. We encourage clients to review this policy periodically for any updates.
